The Isovaara Sami Hut is 51.6 km north-west of Rovaniemi, on the western edge of Isovaara, or Iso Hill. It is log-built, reasonably spacious, and a good rest spot even in poor weather. It features a fireplace and benches. Outside, there is a woodshed, outhouse and waste bin.
Directions: drive 54.3 km out of Rovaniemi along Kittiläntie; turn left on Marrasjärventie; drive 21.5 km; turn left on the forest road; drive 2.9 km; turn left on the old road; drive 90 m; turn left into the parking area next to the hut. A snowmobiling track passes nearby.
