Tikkasenkari lean-to

The Tikkasenkari Lean-to is around 27 km east of Rovaniemi on the bank of the Kemi River, by a group of reefs. The log-built lean-to features a campfire site. There is a boat ramp nearby. Due to strong currents, the river remains partly unfrozen through the winter.

From the city centre of Rovaniemi approx. 2.6 km along Sodankyläntie road, turn right onto Kuusamontie road for approx. 29.6 km, turn right onto Tikkasenkarintie road for approx. 650 m to reach the lean-to next to the road on the shore.

Nuo kuivakäymälät olleet käytössä menneinä vuosikymmeninä, ovat lahonneet, ränsistyneet, pusikon keskellä ja ilman mitään huoltoa. Ihme, että ylipäätänsä ovat vielä pystyssä.
